I swear to God, I will say it in my deathbed. I did not touch that woman. I did. While we wait, let’s bring in our guest who is joining us now from Atlanta, Georgia. We have trial attorney and former judge Quentyn Washington with us. Quinton, good to have you on Court TV today. Thank you for lending us your expertise. Let’s talk about this case. What do you think about Cardi B deciding not to settle this case? Because often celebrities don’t go to trial for these civil personal injury cases. Somehow they end up not making it in front of a jury. Right. No, thank you for having me on. It’s good to be back. But I can just tell you this, Jana. At a certain point, you just get tired of this because it’s going to always come back and forth to you. Unless you take a stand. And if she as a pregnant woman went in there and beat that woman up, she knows she did it. But if she’s fighting it, then that means she knows she didn’t do it and it didn’t happen the way in which it’s trying to be portrayed in the media. Did you at any time see a scar on Miss Amani Ellis’s face or a cut or a scrape at any time during the time of the incident? No. And she couldn’t get a scratch from me cuz I didn’t touch her. I understand that’s what you’re saying. I get it. Did you hitting the pause button on this testimony. Let’s bring back in trial attorney Quinton Washington, who is watching along with us. Quinton, what do you think about this direct examination that feels like a contentious cross for most of our viewers? No, it definitely does, but I don’t know whether counsel for the plaintiff is endearing themselves to the jury. Like with the questions that you’re asking and you’re going back and forth about these matters, most people don’t really care about a lot of what he’s trying to make points about. And I think that’s going to be harmful to his case. Is he getting her flustered? I don’t think so. I think he’s more I think in her reactions to stuff, she’s like, "This is kind of like just strange." And at a certain point, like when people are laughing and all that type of stuff, when you’re doing cross-examination, if you’re not trying to elicit those responses from the courtroom and the jury, then you don’t need to ask those questions. So, first thing first, I want to thank my lawyers. I want to thank the jurors. I want to thank the judge, and I want to thank the the respectful press. I really, really appreciate that. And I want to thank everybody at home supporting me. Um, I know you guys having a little key with the moment, but to be honest with you, I have missed my kids’ first day of school today. I missed my kids uh last day, last week of school yesterday because of this. And I’m not even playing around. I would, even if I’m in my deathbed, I swear to God, I will say it in my deathbed. I did not touch that woman. I did not touch that girl. I didn’t lay my hands on that girl. And with that being said, with that being said, this time around, I’m going to be nice. The next person that try to do a frivolous lawsuit against me, I’m going to counter sue and I’m going to make you pay because this is not okay. I think people have like this misinterpretations of celebrities like it’s like, "Oh, well, we could ask for this and they’re going to settle." You don’t work at home and you don’t work all day and you don’t work for your money to give out your money. So don’t ever think that I’m just gonna give you my money that I work hard for. I don’t lay in bed all day. I work all day and I work hard for my money for my kids and for people I take care of. So don’t you ever think that you’re going to sue me and I’m just gonna settle and just give me my money. It’s it’s not going to happen. I do also want fans at home though not to find their social media, her family social media, her social media and bother her. I hope that this is something that I leave behind that she leave behind. Don’t go bother her. Don’t be talking about her. Don’t be talking about how she look. Don’t call her no nasty names. Let’s just put this behind. But I’m giving a warning. I am not that celeb that you’re going to sue and you think it’s going to settle. I’m not going to settle. Especially when I’m super completely innocent. I know I got a little I know I got a little reputation, but I swear to God I’m innocent. I swear to God like this like like like I’m really innocent for real. And I just want to say thank you everybody. It’s been really tough. It’s been really long nights for me. I’m in the middle of uh a album roll out. So it’s been late nights. Am I the drama? And early 5:30 in the morning. I got to get up 5:30 so I can look like this for y’all. Show me support. My I’m telling you guys when I say that my forehead is raw from changing all these wigs. Raw. Raw. Raw. Raw. And yeah, thank you for the witnesses and thank you for everybody that just took their time to come out
